Education, in the context of a wildlife park, is an essential tool for inculcating fundamental environmental values and respect for nature in the educational system and disseminating the principles instigated by the Institutions and Organizations charged with safeguarding these values.

At Terra Natura this task falls upon all of us involved in the project, and particularly the people working in the Education Department. Through our curricular programme we gear the formal educational aspect towards the conservation of species (with a particular emphasis on those which are in extreme danger of extinction), scientific research, breeding in captivity programmes, and education.
 
However, our task does not end here. We believe that fun and entertainment should not be incompatible with learning, so we make use of them as invaluable educational resources.
